ziZ [indie rock since 1986, Bz] Live

The zIZ project began in 1990, featuring a sampler, keyboards, guitar, bass and an acoustic drum kit. Petra von Wenzl on vocals, Fabio Dall’Aglio on bass, drums and vocals, and Stefano Bernardi on sampler, guitar and vocals. They produced two demos: ‘95’ (punk-noise) and, in 1997, ‘elettronica da camera’ (experimental electro-pop). In 2000, Petra left the band and Giorgio Milanesi (drums), Claudio Dellantonio (guitar) and Dario Grigoletto (guitar – formerly of Gandhi’s Eye) joined the band.In 2001, they released the mini-EP “Ride”.

In 2004, the UFO invited zIZ to compose and perform live the soundtrack for a silent film. This experience was repeated for almost 10 years. Concerts in Munich, Vienna, Odessa, Rovereto and Bolzano...In 2016, the band released “Di velluto spina”.

Eight songs recorded in five sessions in the rehearsal room and mixed by Roberto Fondriest at Screen Studio in Trento.

Maura Bruschetti (Rovereto) and Adriano Piccioni (Grosseto) are both musicians with the Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano. Alongside their work with the orchestra, they have formed an experimental duo, performing original compositions characterised by lyrics and arrangements that are both ironic and profound. They write as a quartet, making extensive use of loop stations and other electronic devices through which they process the sound of their instruments.
